Harrison Ashby gone to Newcastle.
Not sure if this is old news but he left this morning. Did not want to extend his contract with us.

BBC C&P

Newcastle have agreed a deal worth up to £3m for West Ham defender Harrison Ashby.

The 21-year-old Scotland Under-21 international, who joined the Hammers as a youngster and has made seven appearances for the senior side, will have a Newcastle medical on Monday.

His contract is due to expire in the summer and he told West Ham he was not willing to sign an extension.

Good luck to the lad. Hopefully he will get used more. Can't see why anyone wouldn't want to give a youngster a chance.

Looks like the shopkeeper from The League of Gentlemen. You know, a local shop for local people. As a result, I approve of him leaving as physically, he'll fit right in, in Newcastle.

So what

Re: Harrison Ashby gone to Newcastle.
He shares the same agent as Eddie Howe and perhaps has promises of more opportunity and of course now at a rich club that will pay more even to squad players. Moyes as manager would be a factor too for a youngster.

He is good going forward but defensively suspect but under a good coach might make the step up imo.

We shall see.

Either poorly advised or thinks he is better than us. Repeatedly made it known he didn't want to be here so no problem with him going and doing an Ngakia.

After watching Ben Johnson last night we really should of got him to stay

From what i've seen of Ashby i'm baffled why Moyes hasnt given him a chance

£3M is fuck all, cost 5 times that to get a decent RB these days

Vexed 12:42 Tue Jan 31
Re: Harrison Ashby gone to Newcastle.
Probably thinks he's better than Johnson and to be fair he probably will be. But this is a money grab and I wish him no luck at all. See you in the championship you fake tan cunt.

Disappointing we couldn't find a way to get both Ashby and Perkins to stay when we wanted to keep both. Why did it go wrong?

Funny how all of the youngsters are moving on. I wonder why?
Downs will do the same soon under this cunt

Re: Harrison Ashby gone to Newcastle.
I don't get this at all. Newcastle who could've spunked X amount of money on a new right back have poached Ashby away for £3m. Surely west ham should have paid Ashby what he wanted. See Sullivan is still pissed off with the Reece Oxford contract he handed out and is unwilling to move with the times.

I hope Ashby goes on to have a brilliant career and wins a trophy here and there. I don't blame the kid for wanting out having to watch the dismal performances from the three right backs who've been ahead of him this season.

El Scorchio 1:16 Tue Jan 31
Re: Harrison Ashby gone to Newcastle.
If he shares an agent with Howe, then he's probably been tapped up for this move for a while. That and Howe will likely have had smoke blown up his arse about how much of a talent Ashby is, and he is desperate to join Newcastle.

The agent will have done pretty well out of this, fancy that. Whether Ashby actually makes it in the top division, we'll just have to see.
